He is regarded as a no nonsense police officer and is highly respected by his colleagues and members of the public. He has done quite a number of changes and improvements in the Royal Malaysia Police introducing new ideas in the fight against corruption and quality delivery service to the public. Improvement made to the police force is by giving more logistical support to the police includes building of police stations and police quarters, ensuring the welfare of police officers in increasing their salaries, introducing an integrated communication system to enhance operational capacity and delivery service. He introduced the Five Year Plan to ensure the enhancement of police service.

He’s also appointed Chairman for Sunzen Biotech Berhad, a public listed company in Bursa Malaysia.

At present he is being invited to lecture and give talks at various universities in Malaysia and also Government Departments pertaining to security development in Malaysia, leadership, management and integrity.

Professional Achievements:

Served in the Royal Malaysia Police from 10.11.1969 until 13.9.2010 Principal Lecturer with University Technology Malaysia (UiTM) from 2011-­2013.

In July 2010, Y.Bhg. received his degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Entrepreneurship from Golden State University, U.S.A.

Y.Bhg. started his career as Advertising Assistant in Sriwani Holdings Bhd (a main board company in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Store Exchange) in year 1990 and rose to his last position as Group A&P Manager.

In Sriwani Holdings Bhd, a largest duty free retailer operator in the region. Y.Bhg. spearheaded the A&P Department and played a major role in the development of new markets in the tourism business i.e. Duty Free Zone in Bukit Kayu Hitam, Langkawi, Johor Bahru Malaysia and Mongolia.

Y.Bhg. subsequently founded SDCC Group in 1998.

Y.Bhg. was also appointed as President of MyWORLD International Limited, MyWORLD Rewards (HK) Limited, MyWORLD Investment (Shanghai) Limited and MyWORLD Enterprise (S) Pte. Ltd.

Y.Bhg. has appointed as Deputy President of ASEAN Economy and Technology Association Malaysia (AETAMy) in July 2017. Also as Chairman of Recruitment Committee and council member of the ASEAN Retail-Chain & Franchise Federation (ARFF), subcommittee of ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN BAC).

Y.Bhg. was conferred his DATUKSHIP- DARJAH MULIA SERI MELAKA (DMSM) with carry the title DATUK by YAB. TYT.TUN DATUKSERI UTAMA DR. MOHD KHALIL BIN YAAKOB- Governor of Melaka in conjunction of YAB 79’s birthday celebration in October 2017.

Cheong graduated from Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA), UK in 1996.

Upon her graduation, Cheong joined two public listed companies where she garnered her invaluable experience in the area of management, China market business development and human resources management.

Evelyn Cheong is a recognized Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) offering over 17 years of experience in Business Intelligence (Centre of Excellence), Client Services Finance, Investment Accounting, Operation Accounting and Tax Advisory Services.

In 2016 to 2017, Evelyn participated in the largest Superannuation Transition Program in Australia, migrating the systems and data of 5 major super funds with approximately program budget A$60m. At WoWNations, Evelyn is working closely with the CEO assessing and dealing directly with the market. She oversees financial performance of the business nationally and ensure company strategic milestones are met.
